HYPOCRISY
- the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.
Two reasons for hypocritical people in church:
- People who aren’t actually Christians
2. The church is a place for sinners not perfect people

As followers of Jesus we can say:
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.(Galatians 2:20).
Take seriously the words of Jesus, who said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. (Luke 9:23).
